Michael works in the music industry as a tour manager and scalps concert and festival tickets on the side.
The Fraud
In 2019 I invested $26.800 with Michael Anthony Sullivan to purchase VIP music festival tickets. Our arrangement was simple, Michael Anthony Sullivan would acquire the tickets from his contacts and resell them for a profit, and we would split the profits evenly. To my surprise, Micheal never purchased the tickets, and instead, later confessed to gambling the money away playing poker at the casinos.
Now looking back, it’s my opinion that Michael never intended to buy the tickets in the first place, and instead, scammed me to fuel his gambling addiction.
Michael Anthony Sullivan made several promises to pay back the money within six months. Sixteen months later, I still have not received a cent. I’ve known Tony for nine years. The unfortunate part about this situation is we and our kids were good friends.
So let’s this serve as a warning. Michael Anthony Sullivan can’t be trusted. He’s a pathological liar with a gambling addiction.
Timeline
Electric Zoo music festival.
I gave Michael Anthony Sullivan 10K cash on 06/25/2019 to purchase 10 VIP tickets. The concert date was August 30, 2019 – September 1, 2019.
Lollapalooza music festival.
I wired Michael $8800 on 07/01/2019 to purchase 4 VIP Tickets. Concert date July 30 – August 2, 2019.
Kaboo music festival. I wired Michael $8000 total on 07/22/2019 and 07/25/2019 to purchase 8 VIP tickets.
$26,800 was my investment, and I should have received $46,500 back.
On August 7, 2019, I contacted Michael to arrange pickup my share of the lollapalooza tickets profits, and that’s when the fraud unfolded.
After about 10 day of lies and excuses, he finally came clean and confessed to gambling the funds away.
Michael Anthony Sullivan promised to send money on several occasions, but I received nothing.
I contacted Michael on several occasions to arrange monthly payments to make it easier on him, but that didn’t encourage him.
In September of 2020, Michael AKA Tony Sullivan unfriended me on social media.
On September 15, 2020, my attorney emailed Michael for breach of contract and fraud. This was Michael response. “You want to go this route? “I guess I won’t give you the money I have for you.” Then he said, “go ahead and sue me, I have nothing you can take,” and that was the last time I spoke to my friend of 9 years.
